My street and dinner on 7.9.12

I took some pictures of my street so you can see what there is around me.  I have been very busy with school so not as many updates or pictures.  I also have my dinner from 7.9.12 and will make another post with tonight's dinner.  Friday I leave for northern Spain for a class trip.  I hope to get lots of great pictures there.  However, I will not have any updates while gone as I will not have internet access.  Thanks for following!  Enjoy the pictures.  :)


I want you to have a reference for these pictures, so here is a rough drawing of my streets.

Map of my area so you have a better idea.  The A on the left hand side is my apartment.  We face the inside of that block.  Top right hand corner is the stadium.

Picture of Avenida de General Peron from in front of the tobacco shop facing the other direction.  I made this one bigger to try to help you see the top of the stadium in the background.  It's not that far away, but the trees hide it.  If you see the parked truck, it is directly above it above the tree line.  

The little door under the sign that says Cava De Pur....  is the Estanco.  It's very small.  The tobacco shops sell cigarettes, lighters, etc.  and they also are where you can buy metro/bus tickets for multiple trips and postage stamps.

This is similar to our hardware stores - like ACE hardware.  They have a little bit of everything.

Pharmacy - some are open store hours, some are open 12 hours a day and some are open 24 hours -  the 12 and 24 hour ones usually say 12 or 24 on the cross sign.

Like our convenience store - they have snacks, drinks, etc.
