El Rastro

Yesterday I went to El Rastro in Madrid.  It is the biggest flea market in Spain.  I knew to expect a lot of people, streets upon streets of stalls, and to beware of pick pockets.  But I was still surprised at how big El Rastro was.  We walked uphill for blocks and at each block El Rastro split off in either direction down the additional streets.  I know that we did not see all of it.  I took a few pictures, but they do not do justice.  I saw one area of antique type things, but the rest of it was mainly new items for sale.  I tried to bargain at one place, but with no luck.  Still, I was able to get some great deals.  I enlarged all of the pictures below so you can see them better.

I'm not sure what this instrument is, but it sounded um... interesting.
