Which bus?

Hoy era un poquito horrible.  (Today was a little bit horrible.)  So maybe horrible seems like an overstatement now, but this afternoon it felt justified.  So I decided to take the bus to school today so I could see more of the city.  I understand metro systems better, but all you see in the metro is concrete.  So mi madre me dijo (told me) how to get there using the buses.  Well, add heat, a little confusion, foreign city/country, lots of bus stops and you get ... The American girl lost in Madrid on the wrong side of the city.  However, I was quite proud of myself as I was able to figure it out and get to school.  The downside, I didn't get to eat lunch and had to snack on some bread and grapes right before class and it took me 2 1/2 hours to get to school instead of 1/2 of an hour.  May sound like the scenic route, but when it's 103 outside, it just sucks.  So now I'm sitting here thinking I should study, but I want to sleep.  Speaking of studying, I didn't get my extra study time to finish my homework (because I was PERDIDA (lost)) and I was so confused in my class because of it.  Random note:  I've managed to drink over 70 oz of water today and am still thirsty.  Wow, now I'm rambling.  Anyway, I keep forgetting to take pictures of my dinner, but today I REMEMBERED!  :)  So I have pictures to share with you.  I want to share more pictures, but to be honest, by the time I get all my school things in my bag there is no room for a camera and I don't want to be touristy on my way to school.  This weekend, however, I have two day trips to nearby cities and I should get some pictures then.  Thanks for following.  It's fun to share my adventures.  Please ignore the shadows as I was in a hurry.  If you remember, I didn't get my lunch and by 8:00pm I was hungry.

Gazpacho (cold tomato soup) This is the first time I've ever tried this and I was so excited.  It's very interesting.  Cold, lots of garlic and onion.
Rollitos de verduras (Vegetable rolls - they were served with the red sauce in the jar.  Very similar to egg rolls with vegetables and sweet and sour sauce.)
 La ensalada (salad)
La carne (meat - couldn't decide if it was beef or pork, but it was delicious)
In the background are potatoes in the heart shaped dish (they were delicious too)
 Cheese
 My house-mate
 Mi madre
Some type of melon - I forgot to ask what kind
