¡Vamos España!
So first of all, ¡Vamos España! Semi-finals for the Euro-Cup against Portugal. You should see the nationality and team spirit!
Good news, I have come to the conclusions birds are not randomly peeing on me. (Yes, I actually had that fear but did not want to voice it.) When I walk down the street, sometimes a feel a drip on me and I wasn't sure what it was. I realized today it is the condensation from the air conditioners above. Most of the buildings in my neighborhood are at least seven stories high.
I don't have much else to share today. I'm exhausted and ready for bed. I took some pictures to share, mostly of my lunch. Granted I'm not doing major grocery shopping, but I've found some of the prices here to be pretty amazing in the grocery store. Some are comparable and others are higher. Obviously the prices will be better because I went to the grocery store instead of the small shops.
One of the patios at the University for us to lunch at, if we like.
Crujitos (cheese puffs) pretty decent sized bag for .30€ (~$.39)
Half of my baguette that I made into a sandwich.
Entire baguette .29€ ~ $.38
package of turkey (for about two sandwiches) 1€ ~$1.30
package of cheese (like 6-8 slices) 1.05€ ~ $1.37
I also purchased two peaches for .58€ ~ $.75
On the left is my 24oz water bottle, to give you an idea of the size of this bottle of water that I purchased for .24€ ~ $.31
I'd look happier, but it's hot! 100 F
I tried these today. They are called Bizcochoco. Something like a Swiss Cake Roll. Delicious!

Really cool to see the prices...a tangible way to show kids how expensive our "cheap" stuff really is! I will share your blog on my Facebook...maybe some of the kids will read! Hope all is well...going to be like 105 degrees the next couple of days!
